Accessories and girls always make a right combination without any doubts. Rather, it should be put in words like accessories are the best companion for a girl who wants to go out all decked up. The handbags, tote bags, the clutch bags and other similar kinds of bag forms a big craze for the girls.

Owning up many bags is not so easy. As for a night out, you will not want to carry all your stuff like the way you make it to work. A clutch purse or a clutch bag is pretty comfortable for a night out.

For any bag or a clutch purse you own, having a white colored clutch purse is a style statement and looks quite elegant.

The best alternative that comes is to do it yourself, that is, you design your clutch purse yourself. How exciting does it sound? You can just recycle the material already available at your home or may buy fancy stuff to create a unique clutch bag or a clutch purse.

Let us put forward our efforts to design the clutch purse in different occasions and for a different purpose. A clutch purse can be made in different ways. Here is how you can learn to make a simple clutch purse.

Things you will need to design a clutch purse?

  • A shining metal clasp or a Zipper.
  • About 0.5 meters fabric of your choice. You can reuse the old cushion cover or maybe a bed cover that is still good but out of fashion.
  • 0.5 meters of fabric purse lining to be put inside the bag.
  • About 0.5 meters of fusible interfacing (please note it has to be thick enough).
  • Other accessories like pins, scissors, sewing machine and fabric glue

Steps to make the Clutch Purse

  • Take the fabric from which you wish to make the clutch purse. Cut a big square of the same fabric.
  • Take your fabric purse lining, to be put inside the purse, and cut it in the similar dimensions as you cut the fabric.
  • Now, take the fusible interfacing. You may cut the fusible interfacing in a slightly smaller size than that of the fabric or the lining.
  • Spread the fabric on a table and place the interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric. You may then slightly Iron the interfacing onto the wrong side of the fabric.
  • Now, flip the right side so that it faces the top.
  • Place the lining on the top and sew about ½ inches seam from both the top and the bottom.
  • Turn inside out and gently press the fabric to make into the half. Iron the clutch purse when folded into half.
  • Join the upper ends and fold the seam by turning the purse inside out.
  • This is the time when you will pin the zipper with a sewing machine for the excellent job.

The finished product would be a cute clutch purse for a casual evening or a night out.

Try these simple steps to make the clutch purse with the sequin fabric or maybe a much vibrant colored cloth. You may then embellish the clutch purse with the decorative like a glitter star or a flower.

Another type of a clutch purse that you can try at home is the box clutch purse.

Things you may need?

  • Fabric, both for the inner and the outer linings, depending on the box frame.Pick some vibrant colors for both the inside and the outside of the box frame.Try fabric either in the cotton or preferably satin.
  • A box frame that can be purchased from any website online.
  • Glue to stick the fabric. You can try different types of glue before you settle to apply in the last for the final product.
  • Glue for the metal frame
  • Brush to apply the glue all over and that too neatly
  • Some clips to hold the fabric until it dries.

Steps to make a clutch purse

  • Take the fabric and cut it into the similar pieces to cover the inside part of the box. And such same two parts, for the outer part of the fabric.
  • Test from which side the box fits into the metal frame.
  • Now you know which side will be inner. Apply the glue to the inner side of the box and then neatly spread the fabric on it removing all the wrinkles. Repeat for the both the sides of the box.
  • Cling the fabric with the pins and let it dry. Patience pays for these types of tasks.
  • Once the inner side is dry, repeat the same for the outer side of the box. Let the ½ inch of fabric folded towards inside for a neat work.
  • Once the box frames are dry, cling on the frame with the adhesive that will stay and keep the box intact.
  • Wipe the glue from all over and keep the box clean.
  • Use it after it is dried.

The different color of fabric with varying patterns and the prints can make your clutch purse look classic and different. Next time, you go out and wish to impress your friend, try making a new clutch purse that might suit your clothing.

Not only this a clutch purse can be gifted to your friends and family. For young girls, a clutch purse with the emoji patterns can also be designed. The shapes can also be changed like a round, or a rectangle clutch purse can be tried.

A shiny fabric can also be used to make a clutch bag with the metal or a crystal button. What best we can do is a thin sling attached to the clutch bag. The sling can again be made of beads or a leather material. These days the bright colors like golden or matte finish are also in.

A feather fabric material can also be tried may be in red color. This red clutch purse will look fabulous for a girls day out. But you need to take care of the fabric while applying the glue as the feathered side of the fabric might get dirty from the glue. Carry it when you wear a bold makeup.

You can make zipper clutch purse or the metal framed clutch purse that will be fixed on the top. Carefully cut the fabric and possibly try your hands on a waste piece of the fabric. This will increase your confidence, and you will not miss any step while making the final clutch purse for your night out or a party.
