Danielle Nicole Yates and Matthew Grant Hollowell exchanged wedding vows during a 5 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Hudson Manor in Louisburg.

The bride is the daughter of Rodney and Brenda Yates of Roanoke Rapids. She is the granddaughter of Tom and Dot Shell and the late Tommie and Pat Hudson, all of Roanoke Rapids.

The bridegroom is the son of Frank and Susan Hollowell of Hillsborough. He is the grandson of Gilma Garrett and the late JR Garrett Jr. of Durham and the late Ed and Lenelle Hollowell of Rich Square.

The Rev. Clay Leonard of Rocky Mount performed the nuptial ceremony.

A program of wedding music was provided by Morse Entertainment of Raleigh.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a princess-cut strapless Justin Alexander gown with a flowy organza skirt which extended out into a beautiful train. The bodice was beautifully decorated with beaded embroidery.

For her headpiece, the bride chose a cascade fingertip-length veil that was delicately trimmed in Swarovski rhinestones. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of white and blush pink roses, white peonies and white hydrangeas. The bouquet handle was adorned with the sleeve from her mother’s wedding gown. Her flowers were designed by Fresh Affairs in Raleigh.

The bridesmaids wore blush pink long dresses and carried white roses and green hydrangeas.

Brooke Zeiger of Cary, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Matron of honor was Jamie Hollowell of Hillsborough, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Serving as bridesmaids were Lauren Underwood of Rocky Mount, Misti Eads and Brandi Semones, both of East Bend, and Amanda Capdepon of Sanford, all friends of the bride.

Lexie Underwood of Rocky Mount, friend of the bride, served as flower girl. Ring bearer was Garrett Hollowell of Hillsborough, nephew of the bridegroom.

Frank Hollowell of Hillsborough served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Lee Hollowell, brother of the bridegroom, and Kurt VanDeventer, Rob McKee, Chad Merritt, Adam Walker, Marc Johnson and Stephen Phillips, all from Hillsborough and friends of the bridegroom.

Serving as an usher was Caleb Shell of Pleasant Hill, cousin of the bride. Attendant was Taylor Norris of Roanoke Rapids, friend of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington. She is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and is employed by Autumn Corporation in Rocky Mount as the Administrator of Autumn Care of Raeford.

The bridegroom is a graduate of N.C. State University in Raleigh. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and is employed by Autumn Corporation in Rocky Mount as the Administrator of Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the newlyweds will reside in Fayetteville.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held in the ballroom at the Hudson Manor immediately following the ceremony. The wedding cake was prepared by Lorri Shorts, dietary manager at the bride’s nursing facility, as a gift to the bride and bridegroom from her and her spouse, Buddy. Music and entertainment was provided by Morse Entertainment of Raleigh with disc jockey Blake Burney.

An after-rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents, was held on the wedding eve at Shucker’s Oyster Bar in Wake Forest.

An engagement party was hosted by friends in January in Hillsborough.

Groomsmen took the bridegroom on a bachelor trip Feb. 27-March 2 to Colorado.

A bridal shower, given by the maid and matron of honor, was held on Feb. 28 at the home of the matron of honor, Jamie Hollowell.

The bridesmaids took the bride on a bachelorette trip March 20-22 to Savannah, Ga.

On March 28, a bridal shower was given by Pat Troxell and Nancy Miles at the home of Pat Troxell in Rocky Mount.
