Now most of us have been there: you’re getting ready for a nice night out with your man, and he’s putting on blue jeans and a t-shirt. Now is the time to take a stand! If your man doesn’t know what to wear, you most certainly do! And even if you don’t here’s a simple guide that will guarantee your man will look just a good as you do!
Out with Jeans, In with Slacks!
Unless it’s a very casual date night, there’s no reason for your guy to put on a pair of jeans and think that it’s acceptable! Instead, try and persuade him to wear a nice pair of dress pants or slacks! This may be small but it will definitely help transform him into a gentleman.
Match!
Odds are, you know what looks good on your husband. So, tell him so and make sure he matches! We all know that almost anything goes with black, so that is the easiest color to wear. Just make sure that his clothes match enough that it doesn’t look tacky or bad. You never know who you’re going to see on a night out!
Some good ideas are:
- A nice button down with some dress pants
- A collared shirt with slacks
- Or a light- colored shirt with darker pants
These are general ideas that most people love to get creative with, and it makes your man look so good!
Do His Hair
Most men like their hair short because they think it’s more manageable, but ladies know better. Unless he’s shaved bald he most likely gets bed head like the rest of us (just not as bad!). Let him know to at least comb his hair a little bit before you go out, lest the hair come alive and start waving at pedestrians.
Now this isn’t to say that men can’t dress themselves, or dress fashionable. Some men know exactly how to dress, what looks good on them, and how to properly match. Some men don’t because they either weren’t taught or just never felt the need to learn. This may seem infuriating at first until you truly understand that.
And fellas, this article isn’t shaming you, or trying to make you into something you’re not. Women sometimes do want you to look nice, and some men just have trouble with that. That’s who we’re talking to! We’re not asking you to put on a full suit that’s going to be uncomfortable, but a nice button down with some dress pants are very comfortable and make you look so good!
