The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

To day a serious topic:

Anorexia - one of the dark sides of glittering fashionworld. Many beauties move elegant over the runway in the evening, but spend the morning over the toilette, to say it the hard way.

But not only models are dangered by the presure of beauty, also many young people that want to be like a model. I met extremly much fashiondesign students suffering from eating disorders, althoug it would be their job, only to design the clothes and someday "use" models for showing them.

I think, that every lady engaging herself with fashion is imperilled to compare herself to the forever young and beautifull models. And of course all the young girls, who are not knowing, what they are doing and only try to be beautifull... Although in my opinion in the teenage you can´t know about real beauty... you can only try to reach it. I don´t know yet, although I climbed the start of my twens.

A photographer from Israel made a shooting with a healthy girl, a girl in modelsize and an anorexian girl, for his campange against anorexia. He´s a man with much power in israels fashion Industry and owns a Modelagency.

I think the pictures are kind of creepy, because you can really see how thin a model is, standing beneeth a healthy girl.

a person's health is what is most important.
we are all built differently, and fashion has to recognize this.
some women can be rail thin and in good health, others might be heavier and also in good health.
what has bothered me is the trend of the ' size 0' in fashion.
alll the industry did was change the sizing, so today's 0 was a size 2 years ago.
and a 2 today was a 4 years ago...and so on.
i was on my way to a designers office on 7th avenue and next to me was a young model.
i was shocked at her extreme thinness. she was wearing a very short skirt, her thigh was the size of my forearm.

i do believe that everyone in fashion , model or not, had or still has some sort of eating disorder.

hollywood is the same as the fashion industry, same pressures to stay rail thin.
there is tremendous presure put upon women to be a certain size.

all i will say about myself is that i am very aware of what i eat and exercise to stay healthy.
at one point in my life, when i was younger i was a size 2.
i am now a size 6.
