Fashion in the DMV

We’ll be holding our 1st meet up on October 17th at Studio 10, 2828 10th St. NE DC starting at 4PM. We’ll start with shooting the Look Book for Kura Designs. But this event is about more than the Look book shoot it’s a celebration of the DMV’s emergence as a fashion center.The event is free and everyone interested in Fashion is invited but free doesn’t mean that you don’t have to contribute, you do. There are many ways to contribute.PeterP and Kura Design support the Munchkin Fund, PeterP’s charitable Foundation that is currently raising funds for the Philippines Institute for the Deaf. Mike Swann, owner of Studio 10 has a non-profit foundation Streetwise that helps the children in the neighborhood where Studio 10 is located. Make a contribution to either.Designer’s can bring some of their fashions to pair with Margo’s (owner of Kura Designs) purses.Make Up artists can do the Make up for the models.Photographers, you’ll get great images but you have to agree to credit everyone in them, the designers, the models, the makeup artists and the location. You also have to agree to post some of the images to your port and link them. Models you need to do the same thing.We need to let the world know that DC is emerging in the world of Fashion,Publishers print the best of images in your publication with full photo credits. DMV designers, Photographers and models can hold their own with those anywhere let the Fashion World know it.Fashion Fashionista’s bring something to the “Party” chips, dips, soft drinks, etc.Let’s all work together to make this a celebration to remember!
