Lady Gaga won the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards this week. I am not judging, but just wondering if she deserved to be considered a fashion icon. Here is what Apparel Search thinks of a fashion icon. What is your opinion?
Did the Council of Fashion Designers of America take the meat dress into account when making their decision for who would receive the Fashion Icon Award? Is this award FDA approved or CFDA approved?
Again, I am not casting judgement on either the CFDA nor Lady Gaga. I am only questioning the term "icon". Actually, I guess I could be a little judgemental... In my opinion, an "icon" award should be granted possibly once a decade or longer.
