Fabric Sourcing Guides for Small Designers

I am a small design company and I can purchase maximum of 100 yards for production. I am thinking about buying a fabric sourcing guide to help me find vendors that will sell to me with low minimums and sample yardage, hoping I can better find what I need. Has anyone used the following guides: "The Small Design Company's Guide to Wholesale Fabrics and Trims" ($50), "The Designers Guide" ($75), "The Sourcer's Guide" ($120), or "By the Yard Resource Guide" ($40 pdf). All have varying price tags and money is tight, so I can only get one and I need it to be well worth it and more than what I can find for free on fashiondex.com. Have you used these, did you like them, what type of information did it provide, and was it worth it, or can you do better on your own?
