8843838891?profile=originalThere are various hair removal methods available today such as threading, waxing, and plucking but how would you decide which is better than other?

To understand and help you decide the best technique to remove hairs, I will explain you the pros and cons of using each method. Well, some consider a trial and error method – I have come across many women who shared their experience with me of using all the three methods and found eyebrow threading to be the safest and easiest hair removal method for most of them. This encouraged me to share the experience with you as well so you do not undergo all the three methods of removing hairs – just pick the best for you reading through this blog.

Let’s begin to explore all the three methods.

Eyebrow Threading

Eyebrow Threading is an ancient traditional method of removing unwanted facial hairs using cotton thread or polyester thread. It tweezes and removes hairs from the root. One stroke of threading removes a row of hairs at a time giving a perfect eyebrow shape without making your skin swollen or red.

Method of doing Eyebrow Threading

A cotton or polyester thread is moved to and fro squeezing the bunch of hairs and removing out of the follicle. Each tweezing in an arc form removes unwanted hairs from upper and lower portion of the eyebrows making them perfectly aligned

Pros of using Eyebrow Threading

  • Threading is the fastest method of removing hairs compared to waxing and plucking
  • It does not leave your skin swollen or red
  • Inexpensive method
  • With every threading service, your hair growth becomes finer and better.
  • No use of harmful chemicals as it is a natural process of removing hairs

Cons of using Eyebrow Threading

  • You need expert threading specialist else you might suffer from redness or skin burns and cuts.
  • Threading is only suitable for eyebrows

Waxing

Waxing is another common method of removing unwanted eyebrow hairs. It is also the quickest method of removing hairs giving you clean and sharp brows. Waxing needs a careful attention while removing your brow hairs to get it done perfectly.

Method of doing Brow Waxing

There are two types of wax: soft wax and hard wax. Soft wax is mostly soft and sticky applied to unwanted hairs and a small strip is used to snatch away from the skin removing hairs from the root. While hard wax (a stripless wax) is applied on the unwanted hairs and kept until it hardens and it is removed by holding the edges of the wax and pulled out away detaching from the skin.

Pros of using Brow Waxing

  • It is the best technique to use if you have very thick and fluffy hair growth
  • You feel less pain compared to threading
  • Waxing is preferable for any part of the body unlike threading
  • While dealing with waxing you do not undergo pinching like threading

Cons of using Brow Waxing

  • Eyebrow waxing can be bit irritating and painful process
  • It may damage your skin due to chemical leaving swelling and redness on the skin
  • Better to avoid if you have a sensitive skin
  • The only approach experienced therapist who uses best-quality products

Eyebrow Plucking

We all are aware of this method, yet I would say it is the most painful method of removing unwanted hairs. You need patience and strength to bear the pain of plucking your hairs one by one. It is the cheapest form of removing brow hairs but extremely time consuming and reckless.

How Eyebrow Plucking is done

Before starting tweezing your hairs, you need to draw a fine line on your eyebrows in a shape you want to remove your hairs. Start with removing hairs from the line drawn to give your brows a perfectly symmetrical shape. This method is easy and can be done by yourself, if you are expert in plucking or else you may end up with odd-shaped eyebrows.

Pros of using Eyebrow Plucking

  • The cheapest form of hair removal method
  • You don’t need to take any prior appointment; it is a self-removal method if you are expert.

Cons of using Eyebrow Plucking

  • It is a time-consuming process
  • Difficult to give your brows a perfect shape
  • More painful than waxing and threading
  • You may end up with asymmetrical hair growth after plucking if not done properly.

Final Verdict

Eyebrow Threading or waxing or plucking each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. Overall, choosing any one hair removal method depends on your skin type and needs. If you follow my advice I would suggest opting for threading for those ladies who have thinner hair growth and sensitive skin. It is the fast, easy and less painful method. While eyebrow waxing is perfect if you have thick hair growth and you do not undergo much pain of pinching every time.

According to me, eyebrow threading is superior compared to waxing and plucking. The best choice for you depends on your overall tolerance level, skin sensitivity, time and money to spend on each hair removal method.
