The statistics for getting married is decreasing, people are choosing a different route than the traditional option for getting married before cohabitating and starting a family.
It is not surprising that single people outnumber married people in America. However, this doesn’t mean that people don’t have relationships and even children. They are just choosing to live in a way that suits them and their lives and not dictated to, by others.
These people are free from a society that demands, for sexual relations, especially ones that lead to having children, a marriage licence or permission to cohabitate and live a happy and fulfilled life.
The percentage of adults who are not married top the scales for the first time and have taken over the amount of Americans who are married. This is not surprising information and whilst it might move more, the predication is that it will settle down at just over the half way mark.
If you are a parent or even an adult, you will be aware of the pressure of living a fulfilling life and you will want the same for your children. It is not about marrying off your children but giving them the tools, which can make them independent people, who are able to support themselves and to ensure they are happy with the arrangements.
How people live their lives is changing and developing, it is not about making do, but really living a life that is free from oppression and forced into a life that is unsuitable for them. There is no stigma in society on those parents who choose to live a life with children without the necessity to marry the partner or even to have to live with them.
The changing attitude towards religion is noticeable, but also the ability to not judge others if they choose to live a different way, perhaps worshiping a different God or even no God. The choice is an individual one and this shows the diversity of religion and the acceptance of allowing people to make their own choices and still reside in the same place.
Therefore, it shows the diversity of the people living in America; accepting and understanding people, how they live; without making judgements as to the choices, they make.
