It seems I have a thing for dead people of the 60's and 70's. Well actually, I do. Its nothing eerie, its not because they're dead. Is just that those were some truly incredible times for fashion and its influences and some of the people who impacted it just happen to have moved on.
I've always thought I should have been born in the 50's so I could have lived my youth in those two decades. I wasn't, so I must live vicariously through the photos, recordings and film of these great people.
First up, Edie. Her overall style was amazing in its self but its her earrings that make the biggest statement. My favorites.

Now, Jimi. Ohhhhh Jimi. The greatest guitarist to EVER live. Hands down. The first time I heard his rendition of The Star Spangled Banner I got such chills I physically shook. Still get chills every time I hear it....or pretty much anything he played. Back to topic.....
Jimi was not afraid of fashion. He mixed color, he mixed patterns, he was a man who wore scarves and jewelry when men didn't wear scarves and jewelry. But so what. Jimi didn't care. It fit his persona and he wore his choices well.
I want this jacket.
Rock the hat Jimi!
Both gone too soon but their influence is everywhere today.
