How can I be prepared to use dropshipping successfully?

Direct success is not as simple as finding a product that you think is cool, setting up an eBay and/or Amazon seller account and watching the customer launch. You will have to rush to get the results.

Shipping problems sometimes occur, so please have a customer-friendly refund/return policy in place and include this in your revenue and expense forecasts.

Shortage of stocks. The supplier may be missing the product you are selling. If you run out of stock before updating your product feed, you may receive customer orders for products that are not available. It is easier to avoid this unpleasant situation by having your inventory directly.

Boat fare. In the direct space industry, the showdown fee is collected by the supplier as a way to offset the cost of packaging and transporting a single item from the warehouse. These costs are usually small, but they increase your unit cost. Directly owning the inventory means you don't have to pay for it.

There are no volume discounts. Buying products in bulk usually gives you a big discount. Since you don't have your own inventory at the time of direct sales, you may not get the lowest possible price.
