Designer High Tops Are Back!

Around twenty plus years ago my parents brought me back white Gucci sneakers from Italy.(still unworn) They were white with green and red stripes and matching red and green laces.Here's the old saying..."everything that is old is new again".Sneakers are back...big time and very different than the Lanvin style which we own and wrote about last year.The sporty designer high top is what's in style. Ask Dakota Fanning who was recently spotted in NYC in her Isabel Marant high tops. (sold out everywhere)

Marc Jacobs makes a copy called the CALF DORADA SNEAKER WEDGE which we do not love at all. (gloppy and too bright)

If we were to buy a pair it would be Gucci's white leather sneakers with the gunmetal metallic logo inserts and the gold metallic trim.They feature black patent leather piping and logo detailing at the back and white flat cotton laces with a gold color logo plaque on the back. They comes with a second pair of laces and for that price they should! All these fashionable sneakers are very cool but only for a youngish (twenties to thirties) group. They still have a "boat" look on the foot. Unless worn with the right outfit...leggings, a tee shirt, blazer, cool sunglasses and a funky bag then they do not make it.
