In the children's playground of the Adolf community on the parents and their children in safety vest took part in. "We are frightened because the drivers do not keep their pace 30", says Heike Falk, mother of four children and coordinator of the action, which is to ensure more traffic safety.

They want to draw attention to this topic with ten life-sized wooden figures, which they will be exhibiting. On the grounds of the daycare center, the children were laying on wooden boards yesterday; mothers or fathers drew the contours with a thick pen. The jigsaw was then used. Daniel, whose son Jonas attended the daycare, was called “Papa". "I can do it, I've learned it, and I guess I'll be cutting out most of the records," says the dedicated father, as he came to this nickname.

"As individual as our children, the figures can be matched. Red, green and blue color is ready," says Heike Falk in reflective vest. ”I need some men to get the records," she says.

"You can raise an arm, if you want, as if you wanted to stop the drivers," she suggests to six-year-old Mia. She is the first on the wooden plate. And already the red felt-tip pen rushes around the girl, which remains completely still until the procedure is over.

"I also want to lie down," is immediately afterwards heard from one of the tots. They can all join in. In addition to the ten figures approved by the Road Administration Office, the parents want to make even more figures and place them in their front gardens. "There are two of mine," says Heike Falk.

At the end, the figures are fixed in containers by means of cement. With flowers and lots of colorful balloons, the figures will be an eye-catcher for four weeks. They should remind the drivers that this is a daycare. "You cannot see that at first." The path from the daycare falls steeply downhill towards the road. Since the three-year-olds are already going on, the parents know from experience.

Two actions, which may last four weeks, each, have been approved by the Office for this year. In the winter, the figures should be equipped with warning reflective vests. If they were constantly on the roadside, a habituation effect would be preprogrammed, says the ordnance office. In the next year, however, the parents want to try again in any case for permission.

Kita says it is great that the parents are so active and also that they do that together with their children. "There is a lot of dedication here at an afternoon to work," she praises the mothers, fathers and grandfather.
