Casio has introduced an updated version of Pro Trek WSD-F20 protected smart watches for travelers. The F20SC model did not receive a new processor or more memory - the gadget runs under Wear OS, recently announced , and released in limited edition.
The watch is equipped with a bright IPS-display 1.32 inches, Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of user space. The GPS module installed in the F20SC has an extremely low power consumption, so it can continuously track the user's location without spending much battery power.
Casio WSD-F20SC are intended primarily for travelers, so the company really took care of the autonomy of the watch. On top of the main IPS display, a low-power monochrome LCD matrix is installed for displaying time. When you turn off all the smart features F20SC can work for more than a month without recharging.
Smart watches are protected from dust, sand and water according to the army standard MIL-STD-810G. The display is covered with sapphire glass, and the sealed case withstands immersion in water to a depth of 50 meters.
Casio TOOL's built-in application collects data from a compass, altimeter, barometer, and also displays sunrise and sunset times, a tide chart, and, of course, the user's physical activity. The clock is compatible with Android and iOS devices, synchronization with the proprietary application is carried out via wireless Bluetooth or Wi-Fi modules.
The gadget will be released in the amount of 700 copies. The sales start is June-July of this year. The cost of hours has not been announced, but they will clearly prove to be more expensive than WSD-F20, which are sold by the manufacturer for $ 500.
