Burberry Fall/Winter 2011

8842881475?profile=originalThat's So New YorkBurberry's Christopher Bailey has been setting trends for the past two seasons, such as the infamous must-have Aviator jacket and this season's studded leather jacket. 2011's Fall/Wintercollection showed a variety of color making in a very like-able display, along with many silhouettes and some gorgeous oversized bags with the Classic Burberry logo. Like this and other 2011 collections we can see color is here to stay for the coming Autumn/Winter seasons, red's,orangesbluesgreens, you name it it's there. The playfulness and volume of the fabrics was a bit confusing: woolsleather, and fur, whilst I agree it is futuristic, I can't see the whole collection being very flattering for everyone. The effort is applauded, as there were new and pretty things such was the case of some cardigans in different colors with big buckles across them and the case of the black flare trouser which shows the seventies will still be around, and this is where some would say ''What goes around comes around'' and fashion is very much like this, it takes someone like Bailey to make it more adaptable to the new era with some interesting touches. The collection was almost perfect yet it did leave me wanting to see more...  - Contributor Alicia Gutierrez-Balmer
