BEAUTY BUZZ ~ Health Hair

BEAUTY BUZZ ~ Healthy Hair
Television and magazine advertisements would lead you to believe that you'll get healthy, gorgeous hair by using their innovative products alone. While it's partly true that the quality of the products you apply to your hair, as well as the styling tools and techniques you use will have an effect on the overall health, texture, and appearance of your hair, the bottom line is that healthy hair starts from the inside.

Like the rest of your body, your hair benefits greatly from proper nutrition and a balanced lifestyle, as these both help to create the foundation of strong hair follicles. Follicles derive nutrients from our scalps, relying on blood and lymph circulation. So, naturally, any physical or emotional stress, hormonal imbalance, or an unbalanced diet will have a direct correlation with the general condition of our hair, including symptoms such as hair loss, thinning, brittleness, and unmanageability.

Focus on consuming a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, especially dark leafy greens. And definitely try to eat organic or raw foods as much as possible. Up your intake of water to ten glasses a day, and limit refined carbs, fats, and sugar.

As you've probably seen the new television commercials featuring Heidi Klum, the health of your scalp will have a direct impact on the health of your hair. So, whenever possible, give your scalp a massage. Stimulating that area will improve circulation, thereby helping blood flow, which affects the suppleness of your scalp.
