The Asscher loose diamond cut was brought in 1902, by the Asscher brothers. It is sometimes called the “square emerald cut” as it has the basic shape of emerald loose diamonds, other than with cropped corners. Asscher Loose Diamond stones more often than not have 72 facets that are mainly wide and deeply short, creating an almost octagonal shape. As of the position of the light, the diamond seems to glitter in “Hall of Mirrors Effect” that looks quite magnificent, especially with high quality loose diamonds with very good clarity.There was an occasion when Asscher loose diamonds where very uncommon, as of the small demand for them.
