Ashley Tisdale creating cosmetics

Ashley Tisdale is set to launch her own make-up line.

The actress came to prominence starring alongside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens in 2006's High School Musical. Since then she's been a regular fixture on the showbiz scene, with her outfit choices and make-up always drawing praise.
This hasn't gone unnoticed by the cosmetics industry, and BH Cosmetics have recently added the 30-year-old to its team.
“I’m someone who loves make-up - I love doing my own make-up and getting my make-up done - and I had specific ideas for what I wanted the palettes to look like so they would represent me,” Ashley beamed to WWD. “I love the whole California beachy look, and I love glowy bronze. I think make-up is supposed to illuminate you. Hence, the title Illuminate.”

The Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale collection is priced from $9 to $18 and boasts two eyeshadow and blush palettes, six lip glosses and six cheek and lip tints.
Reed Cromwell, director of product development at BH Cosmetics, praises Ashley's knowledge of make-up and says the partnership is a "match made in heaven".

"I’m not afraid,” Ashley continued. “Sometimes when you’re working with a new make-up artist, they might not know exactly what you like, so it’s easier to do it yourself. You know exactly how you want a certain eye and how many lashes you want.”
The new collection will launch globally in May (16). There's been talk of adding skincare to the line, and Ashley now feels ready for anything when it comes to new business ventures.
“When I turned 30, I had a moment where I realised that if I wanted to do something, I should just go for it,” she admitted. “In the past, I had fears. I would ask myself, ‘Am I ready to do a make-up line? Am I ready to do clothing?’ I never wanted to hurt my acting career, but now I realise you can do it all.”
