Are salon hair extensions worth the money?

There are many hair salons all across the UK that offer a host of different extensions and attachment methods in order to please their clients and give them exactly what they want in an extension. However, for some of these extensionists the price can be quite high budget and require the person purchasing them to have a lot of faith in their extensions to be top quality and to be worth the money that they pay. This is probably the most debated aspect of hair extensions, as cost is always going to be a factor for some members of the public who potentially don’t have the money to spend on any old thing and really desire these extensions over other potential purchases from disposable income.

They can have your extensions fitted in store, and they also sell clip-on extensions at Inanch.com too. However, the attached extensions are the primary point of concern here and so it is time to sum up which salon extensions are worth paying for.

The only type of hair that you should find and be looking for in a hair extension salon has to be human hair. Synthetic extensions are a cheap alternative for those that really don’t have the money to pay for them, but they are primarily sold as clip-on and the quality makes them non-purchasable in my eyes as they cannot and will not do the same thing as human hair extensions will. Because synthetics are so sensitive to heat and moisture they will very rarely be attached, and so be sure to steer clear of any faux extensions, especially in salons.

The other extensions that I would steer clear of are the ones that use a particular attachment method known as gluing. A “Liquid Gold Glue” is used to attach the extensions to your scalp, and if done professionally this can work out ok. However, if these extensions are attached or removed wrong there can be several problems such as scalp burns and hair loss from your base hair, and so to me once again this is a risk that isn’t worth taking.

The two kinds of attached salon extensions that you want to be keeping an eye out for as a top priority and the best you can get out there or keratin-bonded or micro-ring extensions. These extension types are considered to be far superior because of the fact that they are attached using materials that are not harmful and for the mostpart will actually give you a longer life span and a better hold aswell. Micro-ring extensions have been known to last up to 2 years if maintained properly, and so if you are willing to look after your extensions correctly and want the option of an extension that is worth the money in what it does be sure to look into it and arrange a consultation session with whichever hair salon that you can find.
