When I first plucked this harlequin pattern blouse from the rack and the label said ‘Angel Ninamade in France’ I said to self ‘nice find’. With this sheer blouse youcould wear a sexy bra underneath or not?? No judging here honey .Because I’m such a tag hag you know the reason I got this blouse notonly because I thought the pattern was beautiful but because it said‘made in France.’ Next time you are thrifting and run across labelsthat say ‘made in Italy’ or ‘made in France’ pull it out and look at thequality. The French and Italians just have a built in radar forexcellent taste. So soon after I found this gorgeous sheer blouse Ifound this 2 piece black pantsuit by Nanette Lepore and knew instantlythat I would want to combine both items and blog about it. I’m going togive you the Readers Digest version of Nanette Lepore‘sfast and furious life. Born in Ohio, her bohemian parents encouragedher creativity, her father was an abstract painter, completed herundergraduate studies at Youngstown University, headed to NYC’svenerable Fashion Institute of Technology, got her degree, marriedpainter Robert Savage, her father gave her a $5,000 loan to strike outon her own, Nanette set up shop in a penthouse office in the garmentdistrict and the rest is fashion history. I told you it was going to befast and furious didn’t I ? This 2 piece pantsuit is modern and hasthat splash of contemporary with a twist of sassy. I love this suit andthis sexy sheer blouse underneath this jacket is stunningly beautiful. The 3rd photo at top is the interior of a Nanette Lepore boutique and Iask you one question here “does this designer have excellent taste orwhat?” I could live at that boutique, I love that it’s so clean, simpleand modern.. All items on my blog are for sale so please email me forprice, additional photos and measurements and be sure you check out TheThrifters Boutique. Follow me daily on Twitter and friend me on Facebook so we can connect and click on and watch one of my many YouTube videos. Toodles for now. Daniel
