Alexander McQueen New Creative Chief Sarah Burton
Today Thursday May 27th, 2010 Gucci Group named a successor to deceased designer Alexander McQueen, choosing his deputy, Sarah Burton, as the label's new creative chief.
Ms. Burton joined the fashion house in 1996, when the brand was still in its early stages. In 2000, the year Mr. McQueen sold a majority stake to Gucci Group, Ms. Burton was named head of women's wear.
