It’s perfectly normal to look in the mirror one day and decide you need a change, whether it’s a new hairstyle or eye-catching bling. But sometimes those little adjustments don’t really satisfy and only postpone a real makeover. Whether you’re trying to jump-start your romantic life or make an impression at school or your new job, you may want to completely reinvent yourself to get just the look your need. Here are some areas to cover for a significant change.

Update the Wardrobe

When was the last time you spent some money on nice clothes? Be prepared for some shopping, but you don’t have to break the bank. Just think in terms of a departure from your usual attire. Ask for advice on the hues that complement your hair, skin tone, and body type. For style tips, the easiest way to go is to emulate a celebrity whose flair for fashion you admire. Reinvent Your Face

Makeup is something you may see as routine, but it can be an art and a science that leads to dramatic transformation. Get used to applying makeup creatively. Your makeup should highlight your natural contours and best features. Understand how color choices change your overall impression on others, such as crimson instead of pink lipstick, or blue vs. Violet eyeshadow. There are plenty of videos online that can provide you with a free crash course, more advanced tips, and limitless ideas.

Diet and Exercise

The one essential that transcends makeup is beautiful skin. Develop a regular regimen with preferred beauty products for exfoliating and moisturizing. Get some sun to nurture a healthy glow, but always wear sunscreen when you go out, as intense sunlight damages skin. Beyond a good skin care regimen, a skin-healthy diet and regular exercise for fat loss and good circulation are also critical to terrific skin.

Plastic Surgery

Many women still regard plastic surgery is an expensive and risky step in molding their appearance. However, it doesn’t need to be. Even treatments like nose jobs or butt lifts are becoming quite routine. There are also less invasive procedures that provide excellent benefits, such as skin peels, laser surgery to reduce moles or wrinkles, and many more. If you see flaws that can’t be effectively remedied any other way, talk to a plastic surgeon about your options.

Many times it comes down to self-esteem. You may see flaws in yourself that others don’t. But any strategies that give you the poise and confidence you need to reach your life goals are worth doing.
