The 2nd Annual Columbus Model Quest was in town - "A Fashion for a Cause" - supporting the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. A great way to support such an important issue, for I'm sure we all know someone that is suffering from diabetes. Diabetes can hit the young, old, healthy, wealthy & wise - without education - many die at an alarming rate. With the proper education and treatment - many live long and healthy lives!!!! Last Year's Winner, Cycle 10, America's Next Top Model 'Dominique' from Columbus, Oh.
In the modeling industry it's stressed to be "thin" - and many times models suffer from many health issues - I listened to the models as they spoke about eating right, exercising to stay fit, slim and most of all healthy. I pray they stick to to it - because the industry must produce a more healthy image of models (males and females)!
Fashion comes in all sizes and shapes - we should focus on teaching all to look good and feel good by practicing great eating and excercising habits. Being too skinny and overweight isn't the way to go. Being healthy at a weight that is appropriate for your body type is the way to go!
I had a great time being apart of this event! Especially since four of my gowns were worn in the Print Challenge.
See the pictures! Even an interview on CW - who knows maybe you'll see the interview!!!!! Thank you Lori Collins and Clinton Elmore of Finaki Talent Mangement for the opportunity, it was hard work which produced success! - I met some very talented people!
