Editor’s Feature: Organizing Your Closet

Ok, so I may not be the neatest person in the world, but when it comes to my closet I am more than a little obsessive compulsive. My clothes are all organized by type (blouses, skirts, pants, etc), then length (sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve, etc). While my clothing is pretty well taken care of, there never seems to be enough room for my shoes and handbags to be stored properly. I want a way to organize my handbags so they aren’t laying all over each other and so I can see each one without digging through the others. I want my shoes to sit flat, side by side, so they don’t get scuffed or lose their shape (not to mention I want the back of my closet door to hang belts, not a canvas shoe rack that’s only really designed to hold sneakers). I have been searching in the hopes of finding anything to help me in my dilemma (that I could actually afford) and suddenly, there it was: an all-in-one closet organizer! Now, I know this may not seem special, but the middle tower of shelves is perfect for storing shoes so that they keep from being damaged, but still seen easily as well as store handbags without them falling all over each other. Thanks to Target.com, I think my accessories will be much safer in my closet.

Made to Measure Deluxe Closet System with Center Tower, $124.99, target.com
