Fashion Industry Network

The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

I would like to remind all you new designers to always have at least 3 backups sources on everything. This way if something goes wrong, you are covered. If you do your homework, your goods will make it to market...and to the sales floor on time! Please remember to always use a live fit model that represents your target market. It is also important to use the same fit model for both first samples and final corrected samples. If you tell people you need something two weeks before you actuality need it, you may get it on time! Here is your checklist: * Fabric * Sample Maker * Pattern Maker ( Flat and Drape, CAD and by Hand) * Fit Model * Contractor * Dye House * Trim Contractors (Pleating, Smocking, embroidery and so on) * Thread * Findings * Trim * Labels * Hang Tags * Finishers and Packing (if not done by the contractor) * Customs Broker (if off shore) * Fright Company * Sales Reps * Factors * Places to sell your samples Good Luck!
