The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

You probably haven't seen me much on here the past few days, I've been super busy with midterms. Also as some of you know, it is my senior year so I have begun the job hunt (even though graduation isn't until May a lot of companies are already recruiting!)

Today was the career fair on campus and there was only one company I was interested in--Macy's South. I went and met with the recruiters.

It went really well, at first they told me they were only interviewing for store management at the moment, but after I began talking to them about my experience (I have a lot!) she asked to see my resume. She said that I have a lot of good experience and she was very impressed, and that I was definately qualified for an assistant buyer position. THEN, I got asked to interview. Even though they are only interviewing everyone else for the store management positions, they were that interested in having me that they are making an exception!!!!! YIPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

The buying office is in Atlanta, and that is the main city I am considering relocating to. In addition, Macys is the largest retailer in the nation, and they do extensive training, and there is a lot of opportunity to move up very quickly in the company. Also, they offer really competitive salaries.

So my interview is on the 25th, when they will be back on campus to conduct them. If that interview goes well I will be flying to Georgia!!

My Aunt works in the fashion industry as well and she lives in Atlanta, so as you can probably imagine she is estatic! Just as am I!!!!!!

I have to go find a suit, I don't have one. Any suggestions?? I am on a budget, and I am really petite (only 5'1 and a size 0) so I have a hard time....

It's really nice that I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel....I've been busting my butt for almost 5 years to put myself through school, working 2 or sometimes even 3 jobs, pulled countless allnighters (like last night!), and have still managed to maintain a 3.7 GPA. Its so nice to see all my hard work over the past few years finally pay off!!!!!!!

Great... Good luck with you interview.. About the suit, not sure the best place to buy an inexpensive one, but my wife is also petite. She says Talbot's sells petite.. However, they may be pricey. Actually, I do have a petite clothing section on my Apparel Search site. You can find the section from this link petite clothing

That's great that you got an interview at Macy's! I actually applied there, but I don't think I had enough experience. I hope everything went well!
