5 Kitchen Ingredients For Strong and Healthy Hair

Don’t you all love your hair when they look shiny and beautiful, thick and strong and may be, long. Not all of us like long hair, but you would all want to have hair that is shiny and silky smooth. It is not possible every time to go out for a medical treatment or visit a parlor to get our hair set and looking great. There are a few simple home-made concoctions to make sure you have that strong and healthy hair at no extra cost and in the comfort of your house.

1. Oil, Oil Oil Your hair:

Good looking hair, like everything, stem from the roots. This means, a healthy scalp is the way to healthy and good looking hair. It is important to oil your scalp and hair as often as possible for healthy hair growth and have thick, wavy and beautiful hair.

You would wonder how oiling helps you grow healthier mane. The answer is simple and plain logic, when you oil your head and scalp, you improve the blood circulation to the head and hence the roots get more blood supply and as a consequence more nutrition for your healthy and beautiful hair to grow. You can use olive oil that you use for cooking, or even coconut oil, to pamper your pretty tresses!

Onion Juice:

Yes, you read it right! It does say onion juice. While you might crinkle your nose at the thought of the smell of onion juice, it is one of the most effective home-made concoctions that you can use for your healthy hair growth. The sulphur in onions helps boost the production of collagen tissues.

Take 4-5 onions, chop them into really small pieces, add to boiling water and let it boil for close to 10 minutes. Once the mixture cools down, strain it and use the water like a conditioner after you shampoo your hair. The smell could be off putting, so wash with your normal shampoo after an hour or so.

Eggs:

Eggs are a source of great nutrition for the scalp and hair as they are rich in protein. Take two eggs and whisk them with olive oil (few spoons) and honey. Apply on your hair like a paste or a hair pack and let it stay for some time, about half an hour. Later wash your hair with gentle shampoo and rinse it clean properly.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

While many of you would have heard that this wonder ingredient aids in weight loss, Apple cider vinegar is also known to help you grow healthy and strong hair. Vinegar will help restore PH balance of the scalp, and stimulates your hair follicles. Use Apple Cider vinegar like an after head wash rinse for your hair. It does not have any strong smell, so it should and would not bother you much.

Potatoes:

If you are willing to try, you can grate some potatoes, squeeze their juice and mix it up with egg yolk and honey. Whisk them thoroughly and then massage your scalp nicely with strong and sturdy finger movements. This will help you grow hair faster.

These ingredients that are always stocked in your kitchen, can help in giving your hair the TLC it deserves. The more you pamper and nurture your tresses, the more beautiful will they grow!
