The fashion industry has a revolving cycle of trends that come & rule the season for a span of time and vanish from the industry afterward, we call them fashion fads. 2017 & summer/spring 2018 was filled with some of the fads that we loved but certainly, don’t want to see in A/W 2018. We have sorted a list of 5 top fad trends that you should wave a goodbye to this season:
1. Choker Necklaces -
Choker necklaces owned 2017 like a boss and everyone was seen sporting chokers. Bollywood celebs, fashion influencers, and brides flaunted this trend to the limit that now the trend has exhausted itself! It is high time to say goodbye to chokers and replace them with long chains and layered necklaces.
2.Pom Poms -
When pom-poms entered the fashion industry, they instantly became the highlight of Indian wear as well as western wear. Clothing brands, fashion designers immensely used them and the excessive use of pom-poms made this colorful affair outdated. Pom-poms are nowhere to be seen in 2018.
3.Cold Shoulder Sleeves -
Last year was all about cold shoulder suits, sarees, lehenga cholis and much more but 2018 is the year to start avoiding this trend. Cold shoulder pattern is one of the most hyped fad trends and we wish not to see much of it in 2018 A/W.
4.Anything Rose Gold -
This color has taken 2016 and 2017 under its unbreakable magic, you could see rose gold clothing, footwear, makeup, jewelry and what not. Rose gold tints were especially seen in wedding salwar kameez, lehenga, and gowns. But this color trend should not be seen in the market anymore. 2018 has come up with stunning new & unusual color palettes and rose gold is certainly not a part of that.
5.Oxidized Jewelry -
2017 & summer 2018 was filled oxidized jewelry but autumn/winter 2018 is going replace this again with classic gold jewelry and pearls. Oxidized jewelry stayed much longer than it was expected in the fashion market but it is time move on. If you love junk jewelry, you can still go for long layered pieces with a little bit of color pop here & there.
