The USA has made great strides on clean technology recently but it might surprise you to find that so has Bhutan, Iran, Norway, Nigeria & India. Bhutan is a tiny Himalyan nation that has pledged to become the first 100% ORGANIC NATION on Earth!!! Bhutan promotes a weekly “pedestrian day” in a effort to curb vehicle emissions. This tiny country has partnered with Nissan to slash fossil fuel imports and embrace electric cars. Iran by 2018 is targeting 5,000 megawatts of new wind & solar power. As rich as this country is in oil they are looking to the future in a progressive energy efficiency way. Norway embraces electric cars, considering divesting from fossil fuels. Norway is a oil producing Scandinavian democracy that is exploring alternative energy options and they are becoming one of the leading markets for electric cars. Nigeria is working to develop 3,000 megawatts of utility scale solar power in the next 5 years. Finally India wants to electrify every household by 2019 largely by using solar. Congratulations to these 5 countries that are striving towards a “greener” planet Earth. We all must look FORWARD for common sense solutions that will enable our survival on this planet. The time to say goodbye to Exxon, BP, Gulf, Chevron and many other oil companies isn’t tomorrow but NOW…. Unknown SolarPower1 Unknown-1 Share
