Kate Moss & Trash Lux Glam

The reason, or rather one of the many reasons, I love Kate Moss, is her own personal style, that she wears when off duty, but also brings to any shoot. I call it, the trash-lux glam.

There’s something about Moss, that doesn’t lend itself completely to luxury. It’s not that she doesn’t “clean up nicely”, but it is as if she

doesn’t clean up all the way. No matter how much fur, how much makeup,

diamonds and what not, there’s a… Continue

Adding Color To Your Wardrobe With These NY Designers

Three New York based designers are our current crushes -- two are very romantic, one is very modernistic, and the one thing all three have in common is that any of their items can work its way into a very classic look, or a

Japanese street fashion look, depending on the styling.

Please meet the romantic with a twist fashion of Alexandra Grecco; the print, color… Continue

KAELEN at New York Fashion Week

Saturday was the New York Fashion Week presentation of KAELEN’s S/S 2011 collection.

The collection, in a natural and light color pallet, was influenced by a recent tornado chasing trip designer Kaelen Francombe took. All the pieces, either in yarn knits, draped silks or washed leathers, with a lot of natural hand-dying treatments, worked fabulously as sets, as well as stand alone items. We have to mention stylist Eva Zuckerman who… Continue

How To Find Inexpensive Models

Q: I’m shooting my first real look book, and I need it to look gorgeous, but I don’t have a huge budget. Is there any way I could get inexpensive models from agencies?

2. Ask them who are the “fresh faces” that can use some great portfolio shoots

3.… Continue
