Ever since Carrie
angled those razor-sharp cheek bones and held up her gloved palm (read Paloma Picasso) to the camera in that
Vogue shoot during out of control preparations for her “Big”
day, I have been semi-obsessed with the art of wedding style. If Miss. Bradshaw- the eternal single girl can swish and sashay with a grin, whilst dressed in bridal couture, without feeling any apparent meringue indignity, then maybe we shouldn’t… Continue

Military inspired clothing has influenced fashion for many years with designers and keen fashion followers alike both taking elements of these styles and giving their own interpretation. Season after season, fashion trends seem to have a military flavour whether it is coats, hats, or possibly even scarves.
These fashionable interpretations can be found in many of the high street shops but if you want to be a little more inventive or perhaps want something more authentic, why not seek… Continue

Elias Howe (July 9, 1819 – October 3, 1867) was an American inventor and sewing machine pioneer. He was born in Spencer, Massachusetts.
Howe spent his childhood and early adult years in Massachusetts where he apprenticed in a textile factory and then for a master mechanic.
Contrary to popular belief, he invented the sewing machine yet many other people, including Walter Hunt, had worked on the idea of such a machine before him. However, Howe refined these ideas into a… Continue

ARTICLE BY A FREE LANCE WRITER ALAN BEGGEROW .

Regardless of which school of thought, it seems obvious that the first humans on this earth lived in warm climates. I suppose there are those who will argue about this, but I am proceeding under the assumption that the first humans lived in a climate that was sufficiently warm to keep them alive… Continue

I was very excited to hear the Domenico Vacca will be having its first Fashion Show in the United States. His fashion show debut will be during Mercedes Benz 2009 Fall/Winter Fashion Week at Bryant Park.
The reason I am so interested in Domenico Vacca is not only because of the look but also because they go beyond what great quality clothing is, to them its more, it's an art of sorts.
