Saturday's tour was the first Chic Boutique Tour that I've given in a while. My Vintage Boutique and Teen Fashion and Fun Tours have been more popular, probably because of the state of the economy. The Chic Boutique Tour definitely visits boutiques with higher overall price points than the other tours, but you can still find select items that don't cost a fortune, and window shopping is always welcome too.
The group was a lot of fun. There were two women from Reno, Nevada and then,… Continue

Daily Fashion Tip 6/24/09 - Small prints are best on ties. Loud colors and large prints are best left on the rack. The brighter the shirt, the simpler the pattern should be. You don’t want pieces of your attire to compete for attention.

"Speed matters if you're charging to the basketball hoop, sprinting for the tape or skating with style. Speed also matters if you're making the footwear for these purposes, which is why Converse uses 3D printing technology from Z Corporation to pump out bold new sneaker prototypes every night
. Overnight prototyping helps the NIKE-owned shoe… Continue

Daily Fashion Tip 6/23/09- Choose suits in dark, neutral colors Charcoal, navy, and black are easier to coordinate than tan, rust, and other colors (plus you'll look a lot more professional). If you want to play with patterns, keep them small. Pinstripes are good.

Today I was doing a bit of research and discovered a few things that I did not know about Lands' End. For one, did you know that the apostrophe in Lands' End is in the wrong place. There have been some silly explanations over the years, but the truth is, it was a mistake. It was a typo in their first printed piece, and they couldn't afford to reprint and correct it. Anyway, the purpose of this fashion blog post is not to discuss grammar or… Continue
