Fashion became intoxicating on Saturday, August 25, 2007 when Mockingbird Station, the pioneer of mixed-used developments in Texas, hosted t its inaugural Flirt Fashion Show. This fashion event was free and open to the public, and was a collaborative effort with The Station’s restaurants and fashion retailers. Hussein Chalayan, was born in Turkey and graduated from the Turkish Maarif College. His family moved to England in 1982 where he studied design in London. Twice named "British Designer of the Year", Chalayan has won much praise in the press.

Today I unexpectedly ran into New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. I was in the city with the wife and kids to visit with friends visiting NY from Boston. Why can't we simply design clothing, produce clothing, market clothing, and distribute clothing? It appears that in today's world, if your fashion business is lucky enough to become large and successful you have more to worry about than late deliveries, loose threads, or buyer charge backs. As a prime example, take a look at what happened this week to Tween Brands (a large public company).
