This month's "It" girl is the poster child for understated chic: Keri Russell. Trends may come and go, but Keri stays true to the basics: solid colors and classic shapes that always look crisp and put together. With tumbled hair and minimal makeup, Keri's style always looks effortless and easy without being messy. Concentrating on well-fitted garments that have subtle structural details and favoring deep saturated colors are the key elements to… Continue

I became weak... I have succumbed to the social status symbol that represents a culture of brand-conscious and profusely ridiculous spending beyond our 3rd world means...
That being said and accepted, forgive me. And as a disclaimer (as i usually would have done in any similar case), this purchase should be considered a valid expense considering that i got it for a bargain (2nd hand, installment terms and in really good condition); that a stylist and a fashion editor cannot know her… Continue

The industrial revolution has brought the advantages of mass production to many industries. In high fashion the emphasis remained on creative designs and skilled craftsmanship. Ready-made garments started becoming popular and more accepted only when clothes-making machines advanced. However, the complete artistic freedom enabled by custom-made designs is still favored by many. I suppose that, I too, would love all my clothes to be masterpieces created by the spark of inspiration and… Continue

Just wanted to let you all know, you do NOT
have to accept friend requests. We can all be very freindly and communicate on each others comment wall in the profile sections. However, we do NOT all have to accept every friend request.
As I have told another member on the site, if I ask you to be friends, you better say YES. Just kidding...
Anyway, please do NOT think that you have to approve every request.
Also, if you send a request and you are not… Continue

One of our new customers from Dallas, United States was quite interested in fabric that can be used for headscarf. Honestly, I am not a native English speaker, the word headscarf and scarf does not differ much in my mind. My first reaction to the word or the idea of headscarf was something women wear, hiding the look and facial expression of a lively person. Perhaps some may call it mysterious, though it seems more religious to me. Even at the time I wrote these words, I still did not… Continue

Chinese exporters have been hurt by the yuan's rise against the U.S. dollar. Since July 2005 when Beijing ended a direct link between the currencies, the yuan has risen by 16 percent against the dollar. Local inflation in China also has been a challenge for exporters who have seen prices soar. However, Chinese suppliers have been able to remain competitive in the face of inflation. Personally, I don’t think the wholesale movement will be away from China. You know, I am not a person of gassy, so… Continue

My mom tells me everyday that I should challenge myself and become a worldwide fashion designer...
That is not my dream.
I see too many big time, high profile, fashion designers everyday in the media. I even get angry that I can't look as glamorous as the girl on T.V. I know that other regular
teens may feel the same as I do, and I feel their pain. No one can look as fab as the rich and famous. That is why I want to design for the teens that want to look and… Continue

When I realized how mundane and mediocre my wardrobe was, I began the hunt for ways to inject personality and individuality into my closet: enter Etsy.com. Etsy acts as a storefront for handmade goods, from art to handbags to jewlery and more! Not only is Etsy your place for "all things handmade," but it's also a great place to find vintage clothes and items that are out-of-stock or aren't made anymore. I recently ordered a bag from a vendor in Switzerland and let me tell you, it's incredible!… Continue

While perusing the internet this month, I found myself looking for a casual clutch. Something that was fun enough to wear during the day with jeans , yet refined enough to pair with pumps and a cocktail dress. To my surprise, it was Old Navy that came to the rescue! These great wooden-handle clutches offer a wide variety of colors and patterns, but this
navy and white pattern are my favorites!… Continue

Ok, I just can't help it...my obsession this month is shoes. Surprise, surprise; like every other girl on the planet, right? Well, there is a particular type of shoe that I cannot seem to get enough of: round toe, platform pumps. From go-with-anything black to every jewel tone under the sun, I am love with these heels. I have recently started an internship that requires I dress "businessy" everyday, so pumps have become part of my life in a whole new way. After quickly discovering how… Continue

This month's "It" Girl is none other than the classic beauty Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett adds visual interest to her outfits by infusing classic silhouettes with shots of color. While she favors the more timeless styles, like the little black dress (always reinvented of course) and luxurious fabrics in neutral shades, Scarlett always dresses to compliment her fair skin.
Clothes are only part of Scarlett's passion for fashion: her use of bright… Continue

I'm looking for silversmithing supplies, metal, soldering equipment, chemicals, etc. I'm also interested in good quality (not too expensive) stones, beads, cabs even raw cut stones., Boro glass and lampwork beads, pendants etc.
There are so many suppliers out there I would rather trust your experience than spend hours, days, weeks, etc. checking them out. (I do have a wholesale license.) As it is I'm spending too much time not creating.
Suggestions on time management… Continue

Where is the best place to find menswear news? The answer to this question may depend on who you ask. In addition, the answer may depend on if you are talking about online news or offline news. Certainly, if you are looking for any sort of fashion news

In stark contrast, they off set these brightly hued pieces with chic and effortless white sundresses that faded out to a brightly tinted trim in an array of sherbert colors.
