Open a Facebook fan page, create real dialog with fans, and offer an occasional giveaway
Last but not least, I have to recommend my own site. I don't know what your traffic is like, but our marketplace for fashion enjoys hundreds of thousands of visits a months, sales have been completely booming, and there's no set up fee or listing fee, so no pain if you don't sell. If you do join - drop me a line and I will make sure you get promoted by our Marketing team daria@senseofashion.com

Also using flash on the front page might discourage ppl viewing your site via smartphones like blackberry that don't have flash. I hope this helps a bit.

I'm a wardrobe stylist out here in Houston, Texas but I attend all their events here in Houston and they receive a HUGE turnout. The last event was super packed. It appears that they do events in NYC as well. You may want to check them out. :-)
