About Me ...
Vivienne Austin has been a designer in the fashion industry for over twenty years in both the UK and US markets. She is a graduate from St. Martins School of Art, one of the most prestigious design schools in Europe. She has also taught at the Royal College of Art (MA Course) and until recently was a visiting lecturer at Southampton University, Winchester School of Art, Fashion Department (BA Course) where she mentored students developing their final collections for graduate fashion week (GFW).
Besides this she piloted a new programme ‘Concept 2 Catwalk’ a fast track course for designers to develop a commercially viable product line from concept through to pre-production and ultimately sales and a catwalk show. During the last few years she has also mentored a number of graduates and start up fashion businesses assisting them with portfolio presentation to secure work in the industry.
Vivienne Austin’s ready-to-wear brand has previously retailed worldwide for over a decade and garnered wide international public and press acclaim with features in Elle (UK and US), The Face, ID, W and the Guardian as well as numerous trade publications including WWD, International Textiles and WGSN.
Fashion Industry Experience
Besides having run her own brand Sea Sirens: a holistic swim and resort wear collection, targeting high end boutiques and spas world wide.
Vivienne has also been head designer at several ready-to-wear and sportswear companies in the UK and in the USA. Presently a design consultant for Courtaulds, a major supplier to Marks and Spencer.
During the last ten years, Vivienne’s design talents and innate understanding of the female body have captured the attention of the swimwear market segment. Vivienne has created swimwear/active wear collections for an array of established companies ranging from large distribution groups, such as Sara Lee and Liz Claiborne in the USA, to exclusive high-end labels including the currently re-branding British heritage brand Liberty.

Hello Vivienne, this is Zula Khramov of ZulaStudio, www.zulastudio.com, and I wonder if you'd like to be a part of our show room at upcoming Resort Intermezzo trade show on July 31stin NYC.
