Just getting into the fashion PR game is hard, esp in this economy when PR is being cut because it is an expensive luxury to smaller designers. Networking is what will help you. Just getting your name and company out there keeps you in the minds of people who will refer you and remember you when it comes to wanting to be your client. Social media networks are huge right now in the industry. Sites like facebook and twitter is really connecting the fashion industry major right now. Also, don't get discouraged when you don't see immediate results from all of your hard work. PR is not an instant gratification service, and I tell all of my clients this, but once the write ups and press start coming in, it was all worth the wait.
