About Me ...: I am a fashion student and I believe that the designer of Crocs should be arrested and promptly executed. Alright, maybe that is a little far, eh? I am in the process of getting together my portfolio. I am gaining valuable experience during these times to prepare me for the fierce competition in the fashion world. I also am planning a debut show in Chicago. I design primarliy womenswear and urban wear. However, when I get (way) older I would like to work on haute couture.....that is, if it hasn't died by then. :(

What is hot in fashion this year?: This year fashion has seen a purification due to the economic woes of the global economy. The colour palette has been both refined and brightened. Also, as people realize that money is getting tighter, the fashion world has responded by doing collaborations with smaller designers and also by creating a mass resurgence of older and classic styles such as the many vibrant sundresses and gleaming gladiator sandals that have been seen everywhere from schools to the red carpet. However, not everyone has cut back. Of course, there are still those Europeans who have issued a "let them eat cake" declaration to the world. They continue to craft wearable art which can come with a six figure price tag; and the people continue to buy. This year fashion has been reborn. The underlying idea is that as long as there are people there will be clothes. Public nudity will not be permitted.
