Honors
Sally Di Marco

On May 9th, 2009 at the Third Annual Fund Raiser “Eye Candy: Attribute to Fashion” that featured the work of Baltimore City Community College alumni and students at the Eubie Blake Institute and Culture Center presented by Franklin Alexander, who has 20 years of experience in the field of fashion and attended Baltimore Community College in the Fashion Design Program, honored Sally Di Marco for her 30 years of service and dedication in fashion.
A major influence on fashion design, Sally started as an Assistant Designer at the Glenbrook Coat Company until today as the Professor and Program Coordinator of the Fashion and Design Program at Baltimore City Community College, she has become one of the biggest influences in fashion throughout the Baltimore/Washington, D.C Metropolitan area.
Sally inspires and supports her current, and former students at BCCC to be creative, and to learn as much about the fashion industry as possible. She encourages her students to get involved in the fashion industry in order to learn it from the inside out, and to be as creative as possible when presenting ideas about fashion lines, editorial layouts and fashion shows. Each year Sally leads trips to foreign countries, such as France, Italy (including her hometown of Cefalu in Sicily), Greece, Spain, England, Ireland, Belgium and Morocco. She has been asked by Fairchild Publications to write a book on fashion design draping.
The Liberal Arts, Education and Public Services invite you to congratulate our very own Sally Di Marco who received citations for her 30 years as Program Coordinator for the Fashion and Design Program.
