I work in fashion
About Me ...
I went to school at Columbia College in Chicago and majored in fashion design.

I interned for a wonderful designer, named Anna Fong, in Chicago. Anna Fong Collection was a great place to get a start in the fashion industry. I helped with a little bit of everything (patternmaking, draping, photoshoots, even a Macy's presentation).

From there I began working at a smaller design company in Chicago as a design assistant. Henry-Lee & Co. has been in business since the 1950's. There were so many great people to learn from. Thier private label, 600 West, was a Missy line with both woven and knitwear divisions.

In 2009, Henry-Lee launched HL Sourcing. This was an apparel sourcing division where I took on the role as Development Coordinator. I dealt with global vendors and various customers. I became familiar with product packages and customer requirements.
Fashion Industry Experience
Development Coordinator for Henry-Lee (HL Sourcing Division): Oct. 2009 - Jan. 2010

Design Assistant for Henry-Lee (600 West Division): Dec. 2008 - Oct. 2009

What is hot in fashion this year?
I have really taken an interest in menswear lately. Perry Ellis has an amazing fall '10 collection.
