About Me ...: I am Co-Founder of RS POP Shop and creator of Homemade BFF's: Beauty Fashion & Fitness

Fashion Industry Experience: I am the former co-host of Latin Beat on BET for 3 seasons which uncovered musical talent in the Latino market worldwide. Before that I was also a reporter on Close UP TV for 2 seasons and has hosted numerous red carpet premiere interviews including Maggie Q, Mira Nair, Cloris Leachman, Eli Wallach, among others. Melissa began in fashion with LIVFashion, an online show and working a few Fashion week seasons in NYC with a boutique PR firm, DFPR.

Other past appearances include: NYC shows such as SNL, Chapelle’s Show, NY 70 as well as print ads for Mastercard, IBM and Heinekein. This past June 2010, my new film which she co-wrote, produced and plays the lead role, “The End”, will be premiered at the Brooklyn International Film Festival.
