Wearing a work of art

About Me
I am a college student, I am about to graduate in May with a degree in Art History. While I love and am enthralled by art history, my true calling is fashion. I use fashion as my own personal art form. I love vintage and unique clothing. I mostly shop at thrift stores, and am always looking for the most original combinations possible. I am hoping to someday have a career as a fashion stylist, I believe it is something I would excel in, as well as love to do for the rest of my life.
Fashion Industry Experience
I have no professional experience. However, I follow fashion religiously. That is not to say that I only wear or agree with all the latest trends. I have traveled the world and developed a keen eye for fashion. I have also designed some of my own jewlery, that I am hoping to be able to market. Mostly though, I like to put together outfits, I have an eye for it, and have always loved it, ever since I was a little girl.

Boyfriend blazers. Warrior styles. Hot pants. Lingerie inspired pieces. Deconstructed clothing. Fringe. Genie pants. Milkmaid inspired looks. Statement necklaces. Organza. Pinstripes, stripes in general. Underwear as outwear. White, yellow, red, turquoise. Above all, and as always, VINTAGE!

Fashionable doesn't equal expensive

While I lust after many fashion designer's products (and who doesn't), fashion to me doesn't mean breaking the bank. I love fashion, I love getting up in the morning and putting together a funky outfit that is reflective of my personality and that I feel good in. To me this doesn't necessarily mean putting on the newest designer skirt or even the latest trends. I am not attempting to put down or make designer clothing seem unimportant, most is gorgeous, innovative, and un-reproducible. However,… Continue
