Fashionable doesn't equal expensive

While I lust after many fashion designer's products (and who doesn't), fashion to me doesn't mean breaking the bank. I love fashion, I love getting up in the morning and putting together a funky outfit that is reflective of my personality and that I feel good in. To me this doesn't necessarily mean putting on the newest designer skirt or even the latest trends. I am not attempting to put down or make designer clothing seem unimportant, most is gorgeous, innovative, and un-reproducible. However,…See More

Wearing a work of art

My daily goal is to clothe myself in works of art. I am an art history student, and currently working on a thesis about the interchangeability of art and fashion. Fashion is so often dismissed as superficial and frivolous, at least in many settings, particularly academic ones. I am attempting to interlock art and fashion, and let people know that dressing themselves is an expressive form of art. With that said, I would also like to say that I am going to be graduating in May, and while I love…See More

About Me ...
I am a college student, I am about to graduate in May with a degree in Art History. While I love and am enthralled by art history, my true calling is fashion. I use fashion as my own personal art form. I love vintage and unique clothing. I mostly shop at thrift stores, and am always looking for the most original combinations possible. I am hoping to someday have a career as a fashion stylist, I believe it is something I would excel in, as well as love to do for the rest of my life.
Fashion Industry Experience
I have no professional experience. However, I follow fashion religiously. That is not to say that I only wear or agree with all the latest trends. I have traveled the world and developed a keen eye for fashion. I have also designed some of my own jewlery, that I am hoping to be able to market. Mostly though, I like to put together outfits, I have an eye for it, and have always loved it, ever since I was a little girl.
