About Me ...: With over 4 years of practice in the Albuquerque area, Maychel has learned more than the fine art of hair design. She has gained the ability to perform the delicate balance of fulfilling each client’s individual styling desires while maintaining an open forum for self-expression and conversation. With her attention to detail, thoughtful consideration and deep sensitivity for each person, she has cultivated trusted friendships with her clientele, most of which have been with her throughout her career.

Her foundation began in a year-long apprenticeship with Stockton Hair Artist Salon in uptown Albuquerque. She was able to study side by side with the best that Albuquerque has to offer and has stayed abreast of the latest, color, style trends through education and peer relationships.

 Responsibilities include hair styling (chemical texturing, color, weaving, geometric cutting techniques, cutting-edge styles, extensions (clip on and glue), wig work and special event and high fashion hair design), and spa services (deep conditioning treatments, facial waxing, eyelash application, perming and dying). Make-up skills include glamour, editorial, fashion, techniques for brides, ageless beauty techniques, make-up application lesson, and basic beauty.
 Experienced at working in a fast-paced environment demanding strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
 Skilled in cultivating positive and enduring relationships with clients.
 Confident and poised in interactions with individuals. Flexible and versatile at all times, providing additional help, practical advice, support and encouragement when necessary.

Fashion Industry Experience:  Participated (as hair and make-up designer) in numerous (10+) local bridal fashion shows, from April 2007 to present.
 Participated (as hair and make-up designer) in a charity fashion show, Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD), in June 2007.
 Character hair styling for promotional models and events with Champagne Show Girls Inc., in 2008.

What is hot in fashion this year?: One shoulder neck lines and body hugging dresses. As for hair, loose wavy locks, and 70's inspired looks.
