Do you work in the fashion industry?
I work in fashion
About Me ...
Not much I can say about myself but generally I'm aiming to help other small and/or start up company's who are in really trying to launch their product. Unfortunately there are really not many domestic or overseas manufacturing facility's that are willing to work with small companies or start ups, especially in today's economy.
I personally was on the other end as a Designer looking for a manufacturer that was willing to take a small order and unfortunately I couldn't find one. So my objective is considering that I'm presently in partnership with a clothing manufacturing facility, I wanted to extend the service to other start up's or small company's that are having problems on getting their small ordered filled, without hurting their budget. Basically you can say that I made the conscience decision to see that others won't go through the same experience I went through.
My self and my partner believe in helping new labels grow and establish a relationship that will pay off in the end.
Fashion Industry Experience
I Work in the Industry for 20 years, from Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne and many others. I have worked with High end, better, bridge aswell as private label. My skills range from Design, Technical, Sourcing, Production and Merchandising.
In 2007 I decided to freelance and during my freelance I helped launch a successful motorcycle clothing company called Road Ragz.
In 2008 I started my own label (IZZI POP) which will be launching in Fall'09 - IZZI is my first name. In the same year I went into partnership with a fantastic organized clothing manufacturer in Brooklyn called Living Fashion Corporation who not only working with big accounts, but is very open as myself to work very small accounts.
Can't think of any really.....I'm into quality ----- My own line really - IZZI POP :-)
What is your favorite fashion website? (list the web address, NOT the fashion sites name. If you only list the name, the link to your favorite fashion site will not work...)

i truly wish the industry would unite and turn it back around to.. made in usa.
the only items i wear which are manufactured in this country anymore are my jeans. the los angeles companies.
in the past 2 years there were only 2 showrooms i visited in manhattan, where the garments were actually made.of course both designers had small lines.
in a sense the industry has itself to blame, outsourcing for cheaper labour.
the consumer today is very savvy and will refuse to continue paying for poorly made imported goods.
vogue had their 'fashion night out'.
this is my idea which i'd love to spearhead:
i think 7th avenue should have a 'made in usa night out' to promote apparel and accessories made in this country.
retail is bleeding out at the moment and something has got to be done to turn it around.
the only apparel in my closet are either made in usa or a european country.
i like well made clothing.
I saw your post on bloggers group, I own a blog which I have just set up brooklynflowers.blog.com so I am looking for new people to write about, also I am currently working for another fashion website which i can wirte an article about you on or if you was to hold an invent i could post it on there.
