Might be worth putting an ad on Gumtree, or similar, asking if someone could teach you to sew one on one. Are there any sewing courses at the local college or uni - night courses?

I would love too, but having a 4 year old and 7 month old and a hubby for a soldier it makes it impossible, although I will keep that in mind when we move to my hubby's next station.

- I'm 21 years old and I have attended technical colleges, but this year is my first in an Art Institute. Right now I'm working on Fashion Retail & Management, but I also design clothing as well. I'm getting better with my drawing skills, but would really love some sewing classes. I love the Roaring 20's and the 40's. I can't wait to be able to get my work out there!!
