About Me ...

Hi my name is James, I am a 2nd year student attending Berkeley College in Manhattan. I major in Marketing with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. I am determined to become a great stylist and run my own branding company, such as my idol Rachel Zoe. I am willing to assist in shoots, editorial spreads, magazine shoots, to learn as much as I can. I am a great listener, responsible and funny. I think to survive in this industry you have to have a little sense of humor no?

Fashion Industry Experience

I have entensive retail experience working for such high-end retailers as BCBG Max Azria 5th Avenue, Allegra Hicks 77th & Madison Avenue (no longer existing in the united states) and Ben Sherman SoHo. I also have assisted with the designer Kati Stern for the Venexiana label for her past 3 seasons at New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park, also I have been the assistant to the creative directors of the bespoke mens shoe label Barker Black in the Nolita area of downtown New York City. I am also the founder and on of the contributing editors to www.Theblacknouveau.wordpress.com, a fashion blog dedicated to all things cool, artistic, fresh and current.

What is hot in fashion this year?

Well I can only speak for my passion, menswear. I really think bright colors are being accepted more, along with light weight khaki suits for summer, also the return of the bowtie is prevelant.
