Ida has been making beautiful things for over 30 years, from feather earrings and beaded chamois shirts in the 70s to bridal accessories, painted signs, furniture, murals, clothing, pottery and more, but her first love has always been designing and making one-of-a-kind jewelry and accessories. She also has a long-standing relationship with antiques, and combines the two themes in much of her work. Her jewelry, chokers, cuffs, bags and hair ornaments are made with antique and vintage components and have found an appreciative audience, both online and in the 'real world'.
The shop tagline "Elegance with an Edge" describes the look perfectly: traditional, often formal materials matched with offbeat, funky styling. She is also introducing a line of hand painted floorcloths, which in true Artsfarm style, is based on a traditional format done in a new, innovative fashion. She lives and works in Orange County, NY.

Fashion Industry Experience: Self-employed: Art-to-wear, painted and embellished clothing, bridal accessories, jewelry, bags, hats, hair ornaments and whatever else strikes my fancy and/or is in demand.

Favorite Fashion Designer or Fashion Brand: Many favorites, but my original inspiration was Betsy Johnson.

You mention that you enjoy working with antique trimming. If you frequent a particular store or trims supplier, you can tell them to join the new directory I have created called Trims & Notions Directory. It is located at www.TrimsNotionsDirectory.com and they can add a listing for free. The site is just started, so it only has one or two listings now... Hopefully that will grow in the future.
