About Me ...: • Experienced Knitwear Designer with a BA in textile design and an MA in fashion knitwear from the Royal College of Art;
• Background within both branded and supplier environments;
• Ideally looking for a fulltime role within ladies knitwear, but will consider freelance opportunities;
• Open to relocation within the U.K and overseas.

Fashion Industry Experience: November 2007 – April 2008
Envy Designs Ltd (supplier), London – Ladies Knitwear Designer
• Designed for US clients across a broad market, predicting and translating their requirements. Clients such as: Talbots, Boston Proper, WHBM, J.Jill and one European client, JetSet.
• Trend research via trade fairs, shopping and online research.
• Sketched initial ideas for in house and client meetings.
• Communicated with Hong Kong office and factory on a daily basis, as well as visiting in person.
• Responsible for print design and development.
• Updated flat specification drawings using Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepared full design specification packages for development in factories.

March 2007 – May 2007
The Royal College of Art, London - Knitwear Technician.
• Temporary position, assisting students with technical knitting and use of the machinery.
• Suggested different techniques and general advice on knitting.

August 2006 – October 2006
SObgn by Cristina Ruales, London - Assistant Ladies Knitwear Designer.
• Hired on a freelance basis to launch the AW 08/09 knitwear collection.
• Solely responsible for the design of branded product for the U.S and European market – worked on the development of 12 – 15 key pieces.
• Sourced yarn from Italian spinners and developing the range plan with hand sketching.
• Developed colour palette for AW 08/09 collection
• Created colour ways for print designs and developing prints from swatch studios.

Cosserat Design Ltd, London - Knitwear Assistant
• Work placement with established swatch studio, mainly selling to US clients.
