Fashion Industry Experience
Paris School

IFA Paris was established in 1982 to combine its 100-year-plus pattern-making and draping heritage with the modern globalized world of fashion. Our school is located in the historical garment district of the 10th arrondissement, a dynamic quarter surrounded by press agencies, photo studios, and an alluring street of offices and boutiques representing the world's most prestigious fashion houses and designers. The fashion house of iconic designer Jean-Paul Gaultier is located near the school and is where all his in-house fashion shows take place.



Shanghai School

In partnership with the Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences, IFA Paris established its school in Shanghai in 2002, the first-ever Sino-French joint venture in fashion education approved by the Chinese government. IFA Paris has become the leading fashion school in China and is unique in demonstrating its dedication to success by bringing the best of French professional fashion instructors to China. IFA’s Shanghai school offers a unique opportunity to international students who wish to spend all or part of the entire three-year program in China. The Shanghai school provides the same high-quality curriculum provided in Paris, and all courses are conducted in English. International students in Shanghai have the unique opportunity to gain insight into the world’s fastest-growing fashion and luxury market, develop their own fashion industry networks in China, and have the opportunity to learn Mandarin.

IFA Paris 2010 Fashion show is coming soon!

Shanghai, April 7, 2010. Urban Fusions 2010 Fashion Show will soon take place at the heart of the most sophisticated city in China, Shanghai. IFA Paris will host its fabulous yearly fashion show for its graduating students, soon to be future designers of tomorrow, which will take place on April 15th, 2010 at the grand venue of the Highstreet Loft at exactly
8 o’clock in the evening. Three themes will be highlighted at the setting of the show: Urban Geology, Urban Flora, & Urban Fauna.

While there will be numerous people involved in this annual thriving festivity, among those included will be IFA’s prestigious and valuable sponsors: Evian, Franck Provost, Grand Mercure Hongqiao Hotel,
Stella Luna, MAC, IFA Gallery, DTASIA. Some of these sponsors will work closely with IFA to bring the audience a perfect spectacle at the commencement of the show. Stella Luna will present its latest fashionable shoe collection to match each exclusive garment; Evian will distribute its famous Jean Paul Gaultier water bottle; Grand Mercure Hongqiao Hotel will choose from its selective menu to provide spectators with
hors d’oeuvres and classy cocktails; Frank Provost, a widely known Hair Salon from France, will style each model’s hair by utilizing hairpins to give a more futuristic gaze; MAC cosmetic company will apply its finest technique to give each model a natural yet urbane look.

IFA’s instructors, family and friends, fashion industry representatives, media guests, VIP guests and additional invitees will all come together to experience this glorious moment where IFA’s students get to present their urbanized garments after 3 years of intensive studies and full dedication at IFA Paris.
