About Me ...: I am an up and coming fashion designer with a small, in-home boutique in Milwaukee, WI called Lena M. Hill boutique. I am also a freelance fashion journalist and public relations specialist. (I'm a busy girl!)

Fashion Industry Experience: I am an independent designer. I love vintage clothing, from 1920's- 1970's, and I use vintage as an inspiration for design, and create updated, modern pieces. I also re-purpose clothing if it feels good to my soul. Just tweaking a detail here and there can make a marvelous difference.

I am currently working on opening 2 other boutiques

Midwest Fashion Week

I am interested to know if there are any fashion events held anywhere in the mid-west? I would guess Chicago would be the home of such an event, but I havent been able to find anything about it, which is a little disappointing. There is so much talent in this area and not a lot of opportunity. If there are any other talented people in the mid-west that want to get their work out to the masses, let me know! There is a show called the ISS tradeshow that comes to schaumberg, IL in July. They have buyers and they have companies show you the many techniques about making clothes! I invested in a heat press and a very good printer and started puttin' out shirts, jeans, aprons, baby bibs, and plenty more. I will give you the info if you need it!
